Toni Robin's East Coast sensibilities combine with a
Southern California style to create a unique brand of Public Relations and Marketing
that simply makes things happen. Her graduation from George Washington University with
a Journalism degree was upstaged by Princess Diana’s wedding; however, she recovered
from missing the news cycle and went on to carve out an extremely successful career in
public relations and arts marketing.
She began writing and producing video news releases in DC but soon headed West
(okay, Midwest) to Cincinnati, to serve as Communications Director for a non-profit
organization that raises money for the arts. Finally making it all the way West, she
made waves as Marketing Director for the San Diego Performing Arts League. She
created and expanded a wide range of successful marketing and promotion programs
that elevated the status of San Diego’s performing arts. She spearheaded an innovative
marketing campaign that greatly increased public awareness of theatre, music and dance,
significantly expanded ticket sales and became a national model.
Most recently, she oversaw the development of branding and communications for NTC
Promenade, San Diego’s newest major destination for arts and culture. She helped create
and implement a Grand Opening plan which included coordinating media and marketing
for the US Chess Championship held at NTC.
When not attending arts events, Toni can be found practicing yoga or bodysurfing in
Pacific Beach.
